Chili flakes
cinnamon & nutmeg topped with whip cream and chocolate shavings
chocolate liquer topped with whip cream and cinnamon
hazelnut extract and cinnamon and chocolate shavings
vanilla extract and peppermint stick topped with whipped cream and sprinkled with crushed peppermint..
nestle "chocolate milk " sauce, with vanilla flavored whip cream and more chocolate fudge sauce
any type of liquer, whip cream and / or syrup flavoring will bring you hundreds of possibilities

I usually put a bit of chili and cinnamon to the hot chocolate, then I put some whipped cream or ice cream on top and drink it with strawcookies. Also if you put a few pieces of dark chocolate in it and let it melt, you can get a richer taste. Also when making it use a bit of cream with the milk.

Try a shot of peppermint schnapps.
Some amaretto is good in hot chocolate.
A bit of coffee for a mocha flavor
A bit of whipped cream, mini marshmallows, some shaved chocolate, a bit of cinnamon. Any of these will enhance or improve the flavor of packaged hot chocolate. If you really want to make it better use milk rather than water when making it.

Some triple sec or orange extract is nice. I also sometimes add in some cinnamon or instant coffee. A little corn syrup will give it a marshmallow flavor.

You can add a little bit of chili powder to it. The added spice makes it taste different and good.
