How do I tell what type of flooring My apartment has? It on top of cement and is made of 1 foot square panels?

though it was ceramic tile but now not sure. Must know what it is to fix 5 inch scar left by roommate using my screwdriver while high. He's gone but if I don't fix it before they find it will be booted out to. scared panel looks plastic inside the scar itself. panels was original from when building was built back in 1986.

I don't know what to tell you about fixing it, but take many photos of the scar and what the tile should look like to home depot or lowe's and ask them there, then ask the other, then check ACE if you have one, you should get a decent way to hide it, but it will probably still be visible if the whole tile isn't replaces with one just like it.
