VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION...GIRLS PLEASE HELP?

now heres the situation...my friend who is a girl wanted to help me find a good girl, the first girl she told me about i immediately liked, i didnt even care what she looked like, from her personality alone i was interested. now this girl is a good friend of my friend and my friend told me that she really doesnt get much attention from guys in school, now i saw this girl and i think she is so pretty. now my friend talked to the girl and told her to check me out on facebook and she did, then my friend asked her what she thought and she said she really cant say anything cause she doesnt know me but then when my friend asked if she would be interested she said yea i guess so while smiling and laughing. my friend then told me shes interested in getting to know me. she then told me to send the girl a message on facebook so this way we could start talking and i did. now me and this girl have been messaging eachother for a few days and the convo is going pretty good, she seems interested in talking with me and she was happy when i messaged her. now just recently i told her how i think she has the greatest smile and that i think she is really pretty and she responded by saying "thank you so much:))". now this is where i need your help/advice. what should i be talking about with her, cause from my friend i know that we have alot in common so i want to show her that. what things should i be saying? what do girls like to hear about that they have in common with a guy?

also how should i go about all this now? like now i plan on asking her what music she likes, then idk? for how long should i talk with her until i ask her out? i plan on having the last thing i ask her before i ask her out be like what does she like to do for fun, like do you like to go to the movies, etc. so this way then i can say like would you like to go out with me to a movie or something like that?

youve got alot of questions going on there, so ill see if i can answer them.

1. things you should be saying: Look, ur not in a movie. No scripts. Talk normally, say what you think makes sense. Just dont rush it, no over exvessive bragging or showing off. Hopefully that goes without saying.

2. What girls like to hear about have in common wit guys: Can't answer that one well, tho i think pretty much everything. but differences are ok too, once again, dont overload- like pile on evth u r, and ask if she is the same. try movies, music, etc.

3. about how long till first date: well, try asking ur friend, or ask her to ask the girl if she wants to. Or hint at it, probably at the point where internet convo is becoming a little strained- ull sense it. like, time to move on. if u hint, make sure u follow up with an actual question, dont leave her hanging!

Your idea abt leading up to asking her out is great, dude u sound like u no what ur doing, just go with the flow (i no, u want a real answer rite?) but really, just breathe, live it, enjoy it, and be prepared to mess up a bit. Girls love guys who get embarrased and blush, i do anyways! its cute. move on. just remeber keep it simple no overdoing the flattery, things in common, awsum things abt u, etc. Good luck, lover boy!!

woah dude you are TOTALLY overthinking this... just go with the flow. Find out what she likes and ask her if she'd like to join you in that activity at some time... the more you overanalyze it and stress it, well she's going to think you are crazy and needy and desperate. Just relaz a little bit.

All of those questions are fine. Everyone likes to talk about themselves, so remember that. Ask her about her interests, what she likes to do for fun, if she has brothers & sisters, what her favorite movie is, her favorite type of food.. Any type of question you can think of to get to know her better- I'm sure she wouldn't mind answering.
