Uncle has pancreatic cancer?!?

He's my mom's brother and we can't visit him because he is in Portugal and were in Canada. My aunt from Portugal flew out to visit him yesterday and he hasn't been eating much in the past month, lost A LOT of weight, can't talk or move a lot and they cut his stomach open last night.

I'm really scared cause even though we weren't too close to him we spent a lot of time with him and I'm scared he might die!

Can someone tell me what the doctors will most likely do and if he has a high chance of dying ? He's only 45.

I'm sorry to have to deliver bad news, but pancreatic cancer has the highest incidence of mortality out of any cancer. The five year survival is low, around 10%. However, a lot of it has to depend on the stage that your uncle is in. At this point, all you can do is hope for the best and that the treatment regiment works.
