What type of insect is this? It looks like a maggot at first but turns into a little moth and flys?

I have these insects inside my house that I cant identify and want to exterminate them but dont know what there called. The fly around( the adults) and once in while I see like maggot looking things that must be the early stage of before it metomorphisis.

Well butterflies usually end up this way maybe something related? Or Moths, you could try googling pictures to find the right thing.

pantry moths? They can be difficult to get rid of. Go through things like pancake mix and flour and cor meal in your kitchen and see if you've got little worms in there. There are lots of pages on the internet about getting rid of them - it's hard work.

Moths. You can buy traps for the ones that fly at any home supply store. The eggs will be in the corner of the wall and ceiling. You can get them with a stiff broom. A vacuum won't work, they are too well attached. You will have to fog to get rid of them.

It sounds like a moth that is in your grain foods - pasta, rice, cereals. Clean out your cupboards - make sure everything is sealed and check containers for maggots or moths. Take all the contaminated food outside and throw it away. Vacuum the cupboards to make sure you get every crumb. Then place Pantry Pest traps

in your cupboards where you store food. I would recommend checking all your food when you bring it home and periodically to make sure it is not contaminated and to be sure it is sealed. Also, using the Pantry Pest will help you monitor whether you have a problem again.

They are nats and you may have some old food someplace and damp rags around. Just clean up and spray them.
