What do you guys think of this idea for a present for a girl I like?

Question

Its kinda of a confusing situation. Basically theirs this girl that moved up the street from me about 5 months ago and we became pretty good friends. We live in PA and she move up from Myrtle Beach SC. She really misses her friends and her life down their. Her birthday is coming up and I wanted to get something for her from the heart and something that has alot of meaning to it. So a couple of years ago I went to Myrtle Beach and as something to remember it by I collected a bag of sand from the beach. So I thought it would be a cool idea to give her the bag of sand so when she is upset and misses her old life she would have a little piece of home to comfort her. I was also thinking about putting a necklace in their to but Im not sure.
Any suggestions or opions about this idea would be greatly appreciated.

(I'm answering this thinking you are a guy). If I were the girl, I would think it would be the sweetest thing, and if I liked you enough, I'd hug you, and if I liked you even more, I'd kiss you. (all the while being a little teary-eyed).

I was thinking about putting a livestrong braclet in the sand that says Hope on it because Hope is her middle name. What do you think?

That's very sweet (: Make sure she knows the meaning behind it. And I think a necklace would be a good idea, or a bracelet or friendship ring. Something that she'll be able to wear a lot, not too fancy or anything.

ok this might work but the only way u are gonna be able to pull this off is if you put the sand in some sort of decorative jar, or box... something that isnt cheap and she can put on her bookshelf or sth. try hobby lobby.. it might help to get help from a creative female to put a few extra peices inside and look presentable

that is sweet, you could put it in a nice vase or dish and even buy seashells to put in it or something, just be creative with it. i think that she would love it:)

Yes, put the sand in a cute sandwich bag or something see through
and the necklace well be cool too
AND THAT SOUNDS VERY SWEET
also get a card and write y u did this

Yes, that would most likely be a nice surprise and it would be really appreciated. I think you should bury the necklace in the sand and you should put a little card in there or something saying "this is to remind you of your life back in Myrtle beach" i think it would be exciting if it was anonoymous too. (:

The scoop of sand is nice, but put it into a plastic zip lock bag and then inside a fabric bag, so that it doesn't get all over her room, as sand in the house can be quite annoying. The sand has to be inside something that doesn't leak, such as a clear plastic zip lock sandwivch bag. Then you can place that zip lock bag inside a pretty fabric bag os a pretty decorative box. Your idea of a necklace with a small pendant on it sounds great & if you can find one that relates to Myrtle Beach that would be great. Best of luck with your gift to her.
