What does high standards of personal habits mean?
One guy has this as a must have on Eharmony:
Personal Habits...... I must have a partner who maintains high standards of personal hygiene, orderliness, and other personal habits.
Does he want to have a high maintenance chick? Because I have moderate habits. What does he want anyway? BTW we can't ask questions until communication is open for that.

well I fart in public. I can't help it and it's uncontrollable. they're quiet though.

I think what he is saying is that he wants a woman who keeps herself clean and nice looking, has a neat and clean home, etc.
That does not necessarily mean he wants a woman who is high maintenance, but there's a good chance that is the kind of woman he might end up with.
Overall though, if you aren't crazy about his communication style, he might not be a good fit for you.

My assessment is that he is being verbose, and merely saying he wants a girl who has pride in her hygiene (which usually spills over into outward appearance), doesn't live in clutter and garbage, and is a person of habits, schedule, and routines. Sounds like the guy is looking for a very type A personality (like Monica, on "Friends"). If you think you can live up to that, go for it! If you think you can't, let him know, and I he can live with it, still go for it! What do you have to loose?
