My student has a crush on me, how do i deal with this?

I am a 10th grade male American History Teacher, and I am absolutely positive that one of my students has a crush on me, this has happened before and I know the signs, the only difference this time is that the student is a boy. I always catch him staring at me with his head dreamily resting on his hand when I look over at him. I'm a little bit worried this might start something I don't know how to handle, if ever something does come up, is there a special way to handle it? I've never had another guy crush on me before.

At this point, you really don't have to do anything. I'd just ignore it. If you take action too soon, it may result in an emotional student who has no way of handling the counter-situation.

HOWEVER, should anything scale, or if you notice anything more serious, you need to notify your local school authorities. This includes the principal, etc.

Asker's Comment:
I was just hoping to be prepared if anything like him failing my class because he's too bust staring at me the entire time, but since he hasn't had any problem keeping up I suppose I could just keep ignoring it.
