How can I be a less jealous boyfriend?

When my girlfriend and I are out in groups, I get really jealous when she talks to other guys more than me. I don't think she will ever cheat on me, but I still get depressed and withdrawn or passive aggressive towards her when she does it. It is causing problems and if it continues she will probably break up with me. I do trust her and know she is just being social, but I can't control how it makes me feel. Lack of confidence in myself is the reason, I suppose. But how to rise above it?

These sort of jealousies usually stem from your own self consciousness. (as you know)

But think about it, do you really love this girl for her? Or are you dating her for your own self image? If the latter is the case, then you're jealous that your "image" will be stolen by someone that can catch YOUR GIRL.

Try to do some things that empower yourself. Something that you can be proud of yourself for. These can be things like volunteering somewhere. OR can be hobbies that you are good at (like a musical instrument).

trust is the basic step to have a successful relationship. if you trust your girlfriend and know she will do the right thing, then you will be less jealous.

It's in our nature to get jealous. Even the most confident of guys will get jealous from time to time. You just have to learn not to let it bother you too much. Maybe after you and your girlfriend go out in groups, you two should spend some more alone time immediately afterwards. That way you can see that you are the one she truly cares for.

There is no easy, fast way to rise above it. If its just you, there's prob. nothing you can do about it. My bf was like this a lot almost all through out our relationship..he isn't as bad now. You need to gain self confidence...know that she's yours and own it! No need to be so jealous.

jealousy is a wasted emotion that will consume you if you let it and wreck any relationship
you need to stop it or loose her
how would you feel if it was the other way round ?
