How can I be "gorgeous" rather than "cute"?

I'm a 25 year-old woman, average height (5'3"), skinny, B cup, medium-length red wavy hair, pale skin and I don't have a baby face. I'm quiet (but not shy), friendly, smile and laugh often (but not too much) and I'm not hyper or loud. I've heard people calling me beautiful and attractive, but cute is one word I cannot stand.

I really HATE being called cute, because I'm not 16 anymore; it makes me feel like a teenager or a human size bunny rather than a woman. I want to dress "gorgeous" and "sexy" with class rather than "cute".

How can I act and dress in a way that people wouldn't call me cute? Should I smile and laugh less often? Should I go for a darker or a lighter hair colour or consider a specific hair cut? Should I dress more trendy?

To avoid being "cute", you need to avoid all things cute...Sweet pastel colors are cute. Floaty, floral dresses are cute, etc. You should stick to tailored suits and other very professional looking clothes. If you're in jeans and a t-shirt, wear strong colors and t-shirts with no cute messages. Plain is better. You'll be fighting your height, as more petite woman are often considered cute, so wear long and lean looks with heals...not too high, but 2-3" will help.

Red, wavy hair can be very glamorous, especially in a full, layered, tossled cut, but if it's a light red, you might want to try some reverse highlights to add a bit of darkness and depth.

As to makeup, smoky eyes are very sexy.

I'm sure you'll be a show-stopper in no time.

By the way, please disregard the person who's telling you to get a tan. You'll just end up ruining your skin, and in ten years you'll be back here asking questions about what wrinkle cremes work best. Learn to love, and work with, your pale look. Healthy, pale skin is SO much better than leathery, wrinkled, tan skin.

Thank you! That was helpful. I don't consider myself petite though.
