Is this a good way to get rid of blackheads?

I've heard by splashing my face with cold water then rubbing my nose with salt then washing that off would get rid of blackheads. Is that true?

No because the cold water would make the pores contract....people do it to make the pores look smaller....warm water would open them up.

and the salt would dry out you skin
