You should try not to upset him or talk to him about whatever you need to say in a good nice and friendly way. Not letting your emotions take over, and if you fear that you cannot do that then talk to him when your daughter is around as to make sure that you can all get along.

Oh dear, as a mom of a 25 year old son. I really feel your pain! I thought it would be easier when the kids are adults, but we are always parents and worried, it never goes away. My son came home to live with my husband and i and he met a girl that I just didn't like at all. She was disrespectful and I told my son straight up that she is a rude b-word and I do not want her as my daughter in law! She made a fatal mistake of passing a rumor that i was crazy and my husband and I are a well respected couple. She never wanted to meet with me and smokes pot and a heavy drinker! I know her former boss and had her fired from her job! You never mess with the mama! My son now has mwt a nice girl and she treats me with respect and talking about marriage later. I will be proud to have Sophie as my Daughter in law and actually buying bridal magazines! That is her day and will honor what she likes. thank god she hates the bridezilla show.
