Do i just really fancy this guy?
With normal friends, i only care to an extent of what they think about me, and i dont really worry to much if i make a fool of myself. However there is this guy i am completely obsessed with this opinions of me, and I always want approval in my head from him, is this normal when u like somebody, as in he asked me what i wanted to do after graduating from university, and I was so scared of telling him, and i was too scared of what he might think. I am usually comfortable with other friends though. I just do not really want him to know my weaknesses.

This sounds a little bit more like puppy love to me. If you are so nervous around him that you can barely speak, and you can't be yourself, that is unlikely to change as time goes on even if you entered a relationship. I don't really see you and this guy having a future together based on what you told me. Sure its normal to not want your flaws to show to a guy who you like, but you should not ever be scared to show who you really are, like even basic personality traits. When you find someone right for you you will feel comfortable enough around them to reveal who you are. Unless you are ashamed of something and can not open up to others?

Does it really matter if he likes you he will show in various ways. Just hang in there and do what you can dont stop believing

Are you afraid that he might not like you if he knew your shame? A guy should still like you despite your errors, your faults, your mistakes.

Well you're for sure attracted to him.
Why don't you ask him what he's doing when you graduate that way you can get something flowing and i'm sure he wont think your odd. If you keep hanging in there a talk to him a little bit more you may find he has the same interest and doesn't know what to do. Keep faith and im sure it'll work out. If not remember its his loss not yours

why don't you ask the same questions at least that way you are both on level terms then he will know your weaknesses and you will know his. don't be afraid to open up and tell him these things. its better to tell him now rather than later
