An unifinished job who should you go to?

mum mum payed someone (plumber) to fit a Jacuzzi and bath brand new. we also asked him to repair the leak. he's self employed doesn't work for any buisness.
he has repaired the leak but the bath isn't fitted properly he lives down the road to us i think over the last 8 months we've asked him 8 or 9 times but he just says yeh il be round this weekend and il be round next blah blah day.

i'm getting anoyed now my parents just burst in to my room to use my shower!!

who do i talk to?

As L contact your local authority Trading Standards department and it may also be possible to serve a County Court small claims summons.

Try your local Trading Standards Office. Even if self employed, he should be registered as a business, If not, the Inland Revenue may want to ask him some questions.

speak to his wife. get her to imagine your problem, explain that is a nuisance with your parents coming in to use your shower. you know that he is normally a good plumber but on this rare occasion he has made a mistake and it would be great if he could just spare half an hour to fix it.

If he's an independent contractor, the only one you can talk to is him, or a lawyer... or his wife...
