Tips on hanging indoor xmas lights?

i cannot seem to get the suction hooks to stick to the wall or window. any ideas on what i can use to hold up indoor xmas lights without using nails or other things that would damage the place? would blue tack work or not? any ideas appreciated, thanks

I can see where suction hooks might now stick to the walls. There is a product called mighty putty (as seen on tv product) that claims it can adhere up to 350 pounds - so it should be able to handle your lights. I'm not exactly sure how easy it is to remove, so you might want to call them before ordering. Check out this website:

Also, I've used the 3M Command Hooks with great success. Removing them when you are done is a snap. Check them out here:
