When it comes to acne, you have to be gentle with it or else it gets aggravated and looks worse and lasts longer. Do not pick or scrub or squeeze. Use a mild cleanser for about 10 seconds. Let your face dry, and always pat instead of wipe. Then use a 2.5% benzoyl peroxide treatment on whole face or just blemishes. the 2.5 works just as well at the 5% and the 10% and it does not irritate nearly as much. Use it generously and let it absorb and do not wipe it off. 5 minutes later use an acne friendly moisturizer to minimize flakiness and peeling. The benzoyl peroxide is pretty expensive if you buy it in the store, over 35 dollars for a months supply, but acne.org offers a peroxide gel for about 5 bucks for a months supply. Do this in conjunction with drinking the recommended amount of water

    1) I have pretty bad acne. It depends on your skin type. Start off using an in-shower face wash from any brand (neutrogena, clean&clear, st. ives, etc.) and if it doesn't work, choose another product. I never spend more than about $6 on skin products, not worth it. Don't use ProActive or pharmacy products unless a doctor or dermatologist suggests and prescribes it.

    2) Not sure, sorry.
