Yay and nay. Yay because they really do spread the horrors of factory farming in a way that gets people's attention. They also have great information for people who want to transition to a vegetarian life. Nay, because their in-your-face tactics do put off a lot of omnis and they, in turn, think we're all like that and then feel they have to defend themselves just because you say you're a vegetarian. Sometimes I think the negative stereotypes of vegans and vegetarians are reinforced by Peta.

I don't think they're inherently bad, they just stand up for what they believe in to be honest. I think they just get a bad rep from propaganda spread by right-wing conservatives more than anything. I mean sure they probably do their share of suspect things but why does everything have to boil down to black and while us vs them mentality. They have their belief's and they stand up from them of course they're going to be met with resistance there are powerful people with alot of money to lose if the world suddenly switched to a mostly plant based diet.

They have their heart in the right place and the fact that they promote going vegetarian and give you good tools and hints to doing so is great so i do like them. I just do not like some of their methods, (such as protesting towns with animal names, i think that is trivial for them to ask to be changed witch they have done) as well as the old red paint thing, all that does is make people hate them. What they stand for is nice and not all their methods suck but some do and the bad methods are what get in the news.

Nay because they make people who love and care about animals look like nut jobs ! We are NOT animal rights extremist ! Violence on people is just plain straight out hypocritical when you are advocating ending violence on animals!
