right okay..
im in the same boat as you, people are now calling me a poser tbh and im really not, ive been like the way i am for about 2 years now.

right so first of all..

1. You should get your hair cut with really short layers? maybe backcomb it a wee bit, not loads, you don't want to look like you've got a beehive on your head, that's just not attractive in any way, then if your allowed to dye it dye it a kind of natural colour (for school, because they can be strict, mine is brown naturally, light brown dyed)
2. go to your local "emo/scene/alternative" shop and stock up on hoodies, bright jeans, tops, ect. wear pumps, Nike's(the bright ones), converse and other cute shoes.
3. Go to gigs, really that's scene is, the style just came along with it.
4. listen to "scene" bands (usually scereamo) some indie..

that should be you? also, ssocialnetworking sites help! :L xx

Isn't it kind of an oxymoron to say that you "want to be" scene, but that you are not a "wanna be"?

Beyond that: I literally have no idea what you're talking about. You need to be a lot more descriptive, every different type of scene refers to itself as "the scene". I'm also unsure how you can say that you "like scene style" and yet have no idea what they wear.

Alright, Soooo. You don't need a wig, to be scene, So the person below me has no idea. I myself, am a prep. & Loveeed the scene style. Sooo i got my hair cut like that. (: Askk for layers at the top, drastic. & If your hair is a darker color, then get blonde hightlights. & Mix it in with brown. It looooks reallly goood. Believee me, it's how my hair is. & I got it thinner at the bottoms. So it straightens better too. & Pretty much does whatever you want. Also if you're hairs too short to get the scene look. Thennn get extentions. That's what my one friend did. & It looks amaazing. I shop at pacsun, hollister, forever 21. Youu still can shop anywhere you want, just have the hair style. I also wear a thick line at the top and bottom of liquid eyeliner. & mascara, and purple eyeshadow. it loooks good, so i hope this helps. [: Havee fun with it.

People consider me a Scene girl because of where I shop and the types of activities I like to do, but I don't like to label myself as anything.

I'm telling you now that you are a wanna-be and if you dress up as a "scene girl" then you are just a poser. If you're preppy, then stick to it. Preppy is the opposite of scene.

And being scene is a lot more than just the hairstyle, colors and clothes. It's for some people a lifestyle because what they do and how they do it and who they hang out with is what makes them scene. If you're willing to change your crowd of friends and change your whole lifestyle, then by all means go for it, but if you're just into the hair and clothes, don't bother.
