Boyfriend was 23 I am 18 is the age gap to much? even if we both go to the same University?

we both share lots in common, and we get a long great. although he broke up with me couple days ago sayin he felt like i was to young and how its embarassing for him. it is 6 years, but he looks younger, and i look 19/20/18 . i am smart for my age and fairly mature since most my friends are 20-24... still is he too old?
what do you think>?

He's stupid if he broke up with you because you were too young. You're an adult. He cannot get into any legal trouble so it shouldn't matter. Age shouldn't matter in a relationship as long as you care about the other person. Sounds like he's a little too immature for you.

No, never too much. It's the love and bond between both of you that counts. Just look at some celebrities, their age gap is much bigger than yours.

I can see what it might look like to the outside world, but at the end of the day, no matter their age, race, appearence etc you cant help who you fall for/want to be with.

I am the same age as you and there is a MASSIVE age gap between me and my partner, it takes some getting used to but in the end you learn to just ignore the comments and stares and stuff and just get on with it. I rarely think about the age gap between us two now.
