What is the best way to tell my dad that someone "took" my iPod?

about a month ago i lost my ipod at school. i have been looking everywhere for it. i've been asking my teachers if they've seen it. i've asked the school office if anyone had turned it in and they said no. i've tried retracing my steps, but that hasn't helped.

the only thing i can think of is that someone took my ipod. usually i would put my ipod i my purse, but for some reason i just decided to put it in my backpack. i know it is my responsibility to keep up with it, but i don't know what happened, honestly.

and now i have come up with the conclusion that i have to tell my dad that i "lost it".

i've already told my mom because i have a strong bond with her and i can tell her anything, but with my dad is a different story.

i mean me and my dad are SUUUPER close. probably closer than any teenage girl and father.
but just the way he is when he's mad makes me scared and want to...cry.

what would be the best way to tell him?

I'm not going to lie if I were your dad I'd be pissed. I'm sure that he will understand if you are close. Maybe next time don't put it in your backpack, although that is where I keep mine at school. Good luck!
