What does it mean if you confront/accuse someone of something and they go into a rage over it?
Does it mean the person is innocent and highly upset that you would suggest such a thing?
Or -- does it mean the accusation is true?

Many people feel incorrectly that it's a sign of guilt, but it's not. At most it's a sign that it's a sensitive area, cause unknown. asking someone about a subject, or in a manor that puts someone on guard can provoke this aggressive in your face behavior. It is not a sign of guilt. It's differently a sign they do not want deal with the subject at that time, circumstances, you at that time.

It depends on the individual. Some individual can be wrong and strong. Some people when caught can put up such a defense. If its a person who constantly lies, yes they will protect that lie to the end. If its someone who normally does not decieve people then they are probley hurt and offended by the accusation.

It could suggest the accusation is true because such actions are defensive

Go into a rage doesn't mean anything about the accusation, it just means they got mad.

It's hard to say, without knowing the details. The only thing that seems clear is the rage. They need to learn how to control their anger. Rageaholics can quickly become dangerous. Be careful.

Well that is my husbands favorite aversion tactic when caught in a lie. Yes it means they are lying.

It can mean either! My guy was livid with me last week when I jumped to conclusions about why he had his phone turned off. He was upset because he hadn't done anything wrong. Sometimes guys fly into a rage to cover because they have done something wrong...sometimes because they've been unfairly accused!
