Start in one corner and just keep going.Have two large garbage bags, one for rubbish and the other to put unwanted items that are still in good condition in and take them to the Op-Shop later.
Pretend you are your own maid and that there is a reward at the end. Make your bed with fresh sheets, lay out your negligeee or PJs as you would expect to be done in an expensive hotel. Leave a chocolate on your pillow. Leave the room for an hour or so and then go back, you will be thrilled with what you see.
Always hang worn unsoiled clothing in the wardrobe and put soiled clothing in a linen hamper.
It is always easier to keep a tidy room tidy than to face the ugly job of cleaning an untidy one.

Just imagine your crush bursting open your bedroom door and.....omg! That's the end of that romance.
Just plug in some music and get down to it.

I hate cleaning my room too.
Put on the radio(your fave station)and start cleaning. if you have your ipod on you will want to go up and a change a song you don't want to hear.
work fast, no way cleaning is fun.
once your room is clean, keep it clean. after you use something put it away, clothes: i dont fold mine, i stuff em' in the drawers but my room looks super clean :p

Have some of your friends/ relatives help you in cleaning your room. Having company will do the job.

Wouldn't it be great if you didn't have to clean and knew where everything is in your room.

Go thru your clothes on floor, closet and dresser, clothes that are stained or torn throw away, any that don't fit or you don't wear give to friends or donate.

When folding and putting the clothes you're going to keep in your dresser put socks and undies in the top drawer, shirts in the next, jeans in the next and sweaters in the bottom.
Hang clothes the same way, shirts, then slacks, then dresses, jackets...
Hang what you only wear occasionally to the back of your closet.

If you have a lot of clothes pack away summer clothes in boxes and slide under your bed and when the warm weather comes switch and pack away winter clothes. Once your seasonal clothes are packed away you'll have a lot more space.

Clear off your dresser and organize your desk, use a jar or cup for pens/pencils and markers. Decorate a shoe box with gift wrap for extras, crayons, erasers...
Throw away old/scrap paper, put papers you want to keep in a box or plastic bin next to your desk.

Get a pocket organizer to hang on your door for odds & ends, gadgets, shoes...

Make sure you have a wastebasket and hamper.

We all have bad habits, leave things lay, flip our shoes off, throw clothes over a chair or on our bed/floor, leave clean clothes in the laundry basket...
To keep your room clean and neat get in the habit of doing things right way.
Make your bed when you get up, easy to just pull your comforter over.
When you're done using something put it away.
Throw away paper, snack bags and bring dishes to the kitchen.
Put dirty clothes in your hamper right when you take them off.
Fold and hang clean clothes fresh out of the dryer, no wrinkles and no more searching for clothes.
Then there's no cleaning except vacuum and dust when it needs it.
You'll love walking into your room all neat, organized and clutter free.

My deepest sympathies, Bree Bree: You sound like a young person, and when I was your age I was absolutely awful about cleaning.

Make your bed when you get up instead of assuming you'll get to it later: Later almost never comes.

Put your dirty laundry straight into the hamper instead of dropping it on the floor or wherever: There's no sense in having to pick it up twice when a few extra seconds the first time around will save a lot of time later.

Put things away when you're done using them.

If you have clutter, get rid of the things you don't use. You can always get more things later, and the chances are pretty good that you will.

Music! Choose a day to dust and vacuum your room, and turn the radio on!

    Good luck!
