Right now, for my age group, there are several styles that are cool

1) wearing a skirt (shorter than knee length or mini) with black knee socks
2) tying your hair up (pony, or half)
3) wearing shorts (mini, or shorter than knee length) with black stockings (actually, any stockings) or leggings
4) wearing boots
5) wearing 2 to 4 inch high heels
6) skinny jeans with a rip or two
7) boot legged jeans with a rip or two
8) skinny/tight shirts
9) a low cut shirt with a black or white tank top underneath
10) medium length hair, side-swept or brow length bangs
11) wavy hair, dyed brown

When my mom was my age, huge boot legged jeans were cool, patches on jeans were cool, tight shirts, straight black hair was cool.

When my dad was my age, huge owl glasses were cool.
