Why would you cheat on your spouse?

i, personally, never cheated on my boyfriend and and i feel if got to the point that i wanna be with someone else and not him then i need to end it with him first, but what makes someone stay with their spouse and still go get someone else?

I agree with you totally. If I got to the point where my interest and affections were being drawn in another direction I would end the relationship I was in first.
There's lots of reasons why people stay with their partner and cheat.....but none of them are good ones, nor do they justify cheating! You're either committed to the relationship you're in or you're not. If you're not, get out!
