How often should I wash the walls in my bedroom?

Question

Every so often I get a bucket of hot water and some Pine-sol and scrub down the walls and ceiling in my bedroom. How often should this/does this need to be done?

Additional Details

I do it because one, I like to clean, two, Pine-sol makes my room smell great, and three, I believe it necessary to clean every once in awhile.

Really my question is, how often is too often and just a waste of cleaner, and how seldom is unsanitary?

I do it once a year for "spring cleaning". Usually just the kitchen and bathrooms. If you want to do it to make your room smell clean then go ahead but you don't have to do the ceiling unless you smoke in your room. If you have carpet run a sponge mop over it with some pinesol and ammonia. Rince the mop and go over it again with white vinegar. Might consider renting a rug dr and steam cleaning the carpet. Most smells from a bedroom come from the carpet, dirty bed linen and dirty laundry.

Sounds good but I'm going to end up doing them a few times a year anyway. I usually sweep, mop, and Swiffer wet jet my hardwood floors, I have no rug or carpet. And I polish my furniture and doors every so often as well, too. Haha I'm such a neat freak.

why do you do that... does it get really messy if it is gross looking sure or if you have guests coming over go ahead but i don't think you should need that much
