Do I have these desires for a reason??? Can God take them away??/?

Question

Im 16, and a junior in high school. Well you see, Ive never had a gf before, and Ive been praying about it to God. I would like to have a girlfriend before I finish high school. Ive been praying that He guides me through the right path, and that He will show me the girl for me. But its been bugging me as of lately, cuz it feels like Im missing out, as I see couples everywhere. Could He take away these desires, or is this normal?? Am I being selfish??

Completely normal.

God can't take them away, it's a feeling for companionship, and its the path to one fo the sacraments, marriage.
