God, this guy keeps asking all these last minute turkey questions...(sausage stuffing)?
Please, ONLY if you make sausage stuffing for your turkey...
I found a very good sounding sausage stuffing recipe but it says to use raw sausage. I'm a little skeptical of this. Do you make your stuffing with raw sausage (I'm stuffing the bird, not baking it as dressing) or do you cook your sausage first? In the past when I've made sausage stuffings I usually brown the sausage first.

I brown the sausage first but I know some people do use raw sausage.
I would not use raw sausage if you are stuffing the bird. The stuffing doesn't get as hot as when you bake it separately.
Brown it first, then add it and the pan drippings to your stuffing. It'll be fine.

I cook my sausage first with some chopped celery and onions. This way you can snack while stuffing. HAHA! Hapy Thanksgiving!

My dad's traditional stuffing uses Italian sausage, and we always brown it first. I'm pretty sure it would cook through anyway, but browning gives it more flavor.

I brown it on the stove as I would ground beef. I use sage sausage. I already made mine today :)

I cheat, and use StoveTop (2 boxes)...but add a bunch of stuff to it. I brown 1 lb of Jimmy Dean sausage, add that, add 1/2 an onion, chopped, green pepper, celery, mushrooms and lots of garlic.
