Inhaling doesn't hurt....exhaling does...why?

when i am smoking...is there a reason my chest hurts and makes me cough when i ex-hail...not in-hail

It sounds like you have been coughing a lot. Cough is a forced expiration. Your expiratory muscles (cough muscles) have become tired with lactic acid deposit.
