How do you hint to someone that you don't want to be their friend?

I have this 'friend' but shes really annoying and like copies me and my friends all the time. We don't want to be mean to her, but we wish she would leave us alone. How?

anyway, i'll help you in anyway i could,
why not talk to her about it. don't be too harsh though or else the situation might get worse (no slaps everyone!!). just tell her how you all feel, in a way that she would be aware on how annoying she really is. make her understand. try to approach her with gentleness but be straight to the point to get it over with. make her change, ok?

we didn't do that and so my friends just have to go through with the consequences. our friend still hangs out with me though, but loathes my circle of friends and goes off telling me that my friends should have just told her DIRECTLY instead of betraying her (ughhhh loooong story). hope that won't happen to you, good luck!!
