Why are men afraid to be truthful?

When in a relationship why can't men be truthful?Why do they have to lie?Then when they get caught in a lie they act stupid or think the girl is and then its too late and they are gone.why is that please i like to know.

because we have learned that no matter what we say, were always in trouble with women, so we figure "hey, if i lie and get away with it, i wont be in trouble or have to listen to nagging." we weigh the risks and usually we figure its better to lie, if we tell the truth, were in trouble, if we lie and get away with it, were not in trouble and even if we get caught, its no worse than telling the truth.

I know some women can be liars as well but at most men are the liars and treat women like they are stupid but his is the best answer where i like thank you

I love this one... Why are 'men'....... Women are just as deceitful and fake, constant liars.

it htink you need to change the word men to the word people. girls are just as guilty of this as guys. so you just have to find a guy who isn't like that.

To be honest, women lie as well, but men are stereotyped as being the bigger liars...

Anyway, usually it's because they
a) feel vulnerable and lie to protect themselves
b) want to impress you so lie about certain things, e.g. what they do, their past, etc.
c) they're too cocky and think they can get away with murder. particularly common with attractive guys.
d) think they won't get caught

it's either a self-defence thing or a way to boost their egos.

In my experience women are the ones who lie and deceive.Most men are honest about what they do no matter how sick or perverse it is.

some do and some do not ....some woman make there man feel that there is nothing he could do that he would need to lie about but that in it self is a lie but hey what you going to do ..
