Did I deserve to be spanked?

i had an argument with my daddy because i borrowed my friends pens at school and i forgot to give her them back and her daddy told my daddy and i went and slammed my door and he said to me 'if u slam ur door once more ur getting a spanked bum' so i went downstairs about half hour later to get a drink and i slammed the living room door because i was still mad and as i was going up the stairs daddy grabbed me and said 'u were warned' then spanked me 5 times with his hand i called him a bad word and he spanked me harder. What do i do.Did i deserve it? im not joking or trolling. i just need a honest anser.

what are you 5? hit him back! i never let my parents hit me. and no, it wasn't right. you have a right to express your anger somehow.. my suggestion, go into boxing, fighting, or an exercise. that's let you hurt something!

1. Sometimes daddies are tired. Try communicating better with him. Tell him you just borrowed the pens (if that's the real truth) and that you'll give them back right away.

2. By throwing a hissy fit (and slamming doors) you were askin for it.

umm wow..ok so well if you were told n ot to do it, you shouldn't do it. and it isn't really any ones Business to tell your parents how to discipline you. And you SHOULD NEVER call your parents a bad word, no matter how old you are.

I really think it depends on how old you are if you are a teenager i don't think anyone over 10 should get spanked. but if that is how ur parents handle things i guess you deserved it for not listening,
Also if your dad hits u all the time an if you think it is getting to far out of hand maybe you should talk to some one because child abuse is a serious thing..

I think you already know the answer to this. Although some people do not believe in spanking, it is a form of punishment some parents use. From what you said, your dad did give you a warning and he followed through with what he said he would do. It sounds like you were being bratty, so yes you did needed to be punished. When you get mad, stop and take a deep breath and think before you say or do something you shouldnt.

There are better ways to use discipline other than using violence. It sounds like your dad was at his wits end and doesn't know any other way. Maybe he should do some reading on how to parent defiant mouthy youngsters. It's hard however, because pre-teens and teenagers today lack respect for their parents and lack the ability to take ownership when they do something wrong so much more than they every have.

Try apologizing and ask your dad if you can have a talk about your relationship.You may be surprised; he may apologize to you, too.

I am not a parent as yet but if my son or daughter did something wrong I would first have them sit down and have a talk with them to see what was going on, if my child was disrespectful to me I would also introduce my hand to their rear end so it would be uncomfortable for them to sit down for awhile, more unruly kids need that so they can learn some respect for their elders, I drove school bus for 3/1/2 years for one district and had some very disrespectful students on the bus they would have been introduced to a spanking if they had been my kids, kids today think they know more than adults and that is why there are so many getting in trouble by having kids and other situations, the kids of today are lucky they did not grow up when I did because spankings and mouths washed out with soap would be common for them, when my brother was younger he was tormenting me I got ahold of him and put him over my knee and I paddled him good, he did not like it but it was what he deserved , respect your elders and listen to them because we have gone through allot and we know more than you do and know what not to get into and avoid all of these fads that kids are going through and disrespecting their bodies with tattoos and numerous piercings.
