Why are drinkers so judgmental?
Why do those who drink alcohol always judge non-drinkers (seeing them as boring etc.) and why do they always try and push alcohol onto those who don't drink?
Additional Details
Sorry if the question sounded as though I was being judgemental, but I don't really care if others drink so long as they don't hound me about drinking.

Well why do people judge vegans? or vegetarians? or Christians? or anyone? People tend to feel there can not be anyone different than themselves. This is derived from every humans need for connection and understanding. Maybe they love enjoying wine and jazz and are confused as to how you could love not drinking. Either way it is personal preference and human nature.

This answer, I got from another thread:
"People start socially... alcohol lessens inhibitions and makes people think, feel they are fabulous. Relax, loosen up, act out boldly, be less shy. Say that thing they wanted to say, hit on that person they normally wouldnt, etc. But where a couple of drinks might get you jolly and happy with some friends that are chilling, too... everyone has seen how obnoxiously overboard it can go, into fights and puking and waking up next to the wrong person."
Additionally, I think it's coz drinkers have a lot more fun and so they assume that those who don't live boring lives. They wanna share the excitement so they urge other people to drink too.
Cheers!

We've found something we really, really like and it bothers us that some people are willing to completely refuse to do it without trying it at all.
I personally pressure non-drinkers into drinking once and only once (for a single type of alcohol, IE beer, wine, and liquor) if they don't like any of the three then I leave them alone.

I say they feel that the world surrounded around them is full of drinkers like themselves and if there is someone that isn't a drinker is actually boring and makes them out of place.

I find non-drinkers judgmental. I get sick to death of criticism for enjoying the odd tipple, or bottle ;-)
I spend so much time defending my indulgence, or feeling guilty - that it has never occurred to me that non drinkers find drinkers judgmental.
Each to their own.

as an alcoholic, because it makes me feel less guilty when everyone else is drinking too.
