I was also surprised by the number of French people who sportingly didnt want to go to the world cup in this manner. It gives the team qualification for scoring away from home? The only special thing about scoring away from home is that you do it infront of less people cheering for your team. I remembered there used to be something called the Golden Goal in the world cup a few years back when Brazil won it, why didnt they have the Away goals rule during the qualifiers then?
