I saw this unusual growth jetting out of this tree when I was on the Sky Islands Forest Trail at Great Basin National Park. I am wondering what it is and how it got there?1 AnswerGeography3 months ago
I just bought a new ASUS (Model: CM1855-US008S) today and got a ASUS VN247H monitor to go with it. When I plug in the VGA or DVI inputs the screen is grey with streaking grey/white lines. When I would shut the computer off and back on one time the screen come up with the DVI and VGA but after a few minutes it went grey again. I've connected an HDMI cable directly from the PC to the monitor and that now seems to have worked. It hasn't yet turned grey on me. Why is this? Why can't I use the DVI connection which is what I was hoping to use? If it only worked with HDMI I find it silly that ASUS would not include a cable in the box but only VGA and DVI cables.
Could this have something to do with the graphics card? This one came with a AMD HD7670 2G DDR3 card.
Any help would be much appreciated... It always stinks when you make a new purchase and it doesn't work as hoped for.2 AnswersMonitors7 years ago
I own a swim school and I have an instructor who is supposed to start working this week. She had a herniated disk about 4 weeks ago and says she feels fine and is 100% ready to go.
I am concerned that she might hurt herself on the job lifting and moving kids. I don't want to have fears of workers comp claims and potential lawsuits if she does re-injure herself.
I doubt 4 weeks is enough time to properly recover. What would you do if you owned this business and it's your livelihood?
What if she has a doctor clear her for work? Will that make enough difference to take the chance?1 AnswerSmall Business8 years ago
One that requires no lump sum. Most companies require $500 to $2500 lump sum to open it with an automatic reoccurring of $100/month. Some might do $50/mo but still require a lump sum. Are there any that don't require a lump sum and can be opened with a reoccurring $50/month contribution?1 AnswerInvesting8 years ago
In my 60s, have a ROTH IRA... would it be a good idea to roll this into an annuity that gives me some guarantees on this money?3 AnswersPersonal Finance1 decade ago
I've had lots of trouble with broken down cars and I want something that is reliable. Is there any brand or make or model that is famous for reliability? I don't care too much about style or look, I just want something that can be driven 50-60 miles a day, day in day out.5 AnswersOther - Cars & Transportation1 decade ago
Why not take equity out of your home from refinancing and put that into an investment vehicle that earns you interest? Considering that home equity doesn't earn you any rate of return, wouldn't this be beneficial?6 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade ago
