  • Renouncing US Citizenship?

I was born and raised in Boston and have a hard-earned modest pension as a career soldier. I am due to get another federal pension in about 8 years and social security two years later. • Canada? Who thinks they won the war of 1812?

A recent question posed seem to imply Canada slayed their neighbor to the south. Really? I'd like to read that text book. Although negotiation were underway on a peace treaty, I believe the resounding defeat of the British at the Battle of New Orleans was the final chapter in that war. What say you Canadians?

  • Were Patrick Henry & Nathan Hale Plagiarists? Give Me Liberty... I have but one life to give to my country?

It came to my attention through I believe the Army War College. I was told that both men borrowed these phrases from a stage play /troupe that was traveling throughout the colonies in 1775. The play was about a Roman General who refuse to betray the Republic and proclaimed these statements. Only the well-heeled/ affluent colonist would have been familiar with the theater production. Can anyone confirm-deny this theory
