My old computer,Pentium 3, 512 ram just got upgraded to Windows 2000 (I know ,but it is the only OS I had ). Upon booting up my task manager shows winlogon.exe process taking up a huge amount of resources and time. It can be up to 2 minutes before it will finally end. I am not running a network or have multiple users. I searched the net and came across someone who said if I had more than one winlogon.exe that it was probably a virus or similar. I ran AVG, Spybot and Adaware and they can not find any problem. I searched for winlogon.exe and found it in three places
Could any of these be a problem?
Any suggestions on how to speed up boot time. It sure sounds hard on my hard drive?

I need translation of "piece of heaven" into Latin please.
I believe "fragmentum caelum" might be close. I am naming my cottage which is on a road named in Latin and am making a sign and want to make sure I have the correct words. Thank you in advance.4 AnswersLanguages1 decade ago
I have 2 physical drives c: and g: After a crash I installed win2000 on c: I tried to upgrade 2000 to xp, but did not have upgrade cd. It installed xp on drive g: dual boot.. I got upgrade disc and reinstalled xp. It does not dual boot now , goes directly to xp. I would like to get rid of one of the operating systems that are not needed but I am not sure where the new installation went to c: or g: How can I tell? Thank you in advance for any help.4 AnswersSoftware1 decade ago
