I will be having a consultation regarding a WS&IB claim concerning exposure to asbestos, I have asbestosis and pleural plaques. What is it that I need to know to ask?1 AnswerLaw & Ethics1 decade ago
The Canadian gov't is going to permit mine waste to be dumped in a number of lakes across Canada. The mining business feels that this is the easiest way to deal with their toxic waste.

I am involved in career counceling and would like to know what positions are available in research that a person could do without a university degree.
I really enjoy research, I have researched a few small business ideas, historical information for my work as a historical interpreter and researched natural educational programs for Park visitors. I have health issues and looking to change my line of work. I find researching stimulating and rewarding. But I do not know where all the possible work is available. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.1 AnswerCareers & Employment1 decade ago

What can I do about my situation, do you have any experience in this matter. Share your knowledge with me please. The WS&IB is denying me, even though I have a respiralogist who confirms asbestosis, CT scan and X-rays that confirm his diagnosis. What am I to do? I live in BC but was exposed in Ontario.3 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade ago
Are there any EX..........FOSECO workers here who have developed a respiratory disease from working at FOSECO?
Please get in touch with me and let me know if contact with asbestos has resulted in asbestosis/cancer.1 AnswerRespiratory Diseases1 decade ago
I have asbestosis and the WS&IB (comp) in Ontario is denying me, do I have legal rights to compensation.?
The specialist I see says that I have asbestosis and the film, CT scans verify this but the WS&IB doctors do not agree. I am caught in the middle. What course of action should I take? Does my respirologists word count for anything? What should I do, it has been 5 years of this nonsense.2 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade ago
I worked for Foseco in Guelph Ontario and was exposed to asbestos during the 60s and early 70s. Did you work there and develop a disease because of the working conditions? Or do you know of anyone who did? Please let me know.1 AnswerRespiratory Diseases1 decade ago
I was diagnosed with pleural disease and mild asbestosis by a respirologist. Have I any rights to entitlement?
I live in British Columbia but was exposed to asbestos in Ontario during the late 60s and early 70s. The Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WS&IB) is saying that I have no entitlement. The WS&IB has accepted asbestos related pleural disease but will not accept the diagoses of asbestosis. Do I have any options?1 AnswerLaw & Ethics1 decade ago
