  • I might have consumed lead. Will I be ok?

I have just eaten a seaweed snack product bought at my local farmers market. It says that it is a product of Korea. I did some research regarding seaweed snack products from Korea and it turns out that they contain a level of lead. I know the dangers of lead (long term and short term) and I am concerned. Will I be ok and what should I do?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Why are Peltier tiles (TEG not TEC) so inefficient at producing electricity?

What makes them so inefficient at producing electricity (only about 5% efficient) and how might this inefficiency be improved upon?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Solar panels vs. Peltier tiles.?

Ok before I ask my question, I would like to make very clear that I am not an electrical engineer (or any kind of engineer, for that matter) or scientist, nor do I know much about what I am asking. I say this in hopes that you all will spare me the ridicule if I sound stupid. Ok, with that out of the way, on to my question. If a Peltier tile (TEG not TEC) had temperature difference of about 600° Fahrenheit (300°F on the hot side and -300°F on the cold side), would it produce more electricity per square inch than traditional solar panels?

    Thanks in advance.

P.S. If this was a stupid question please kindly tell me that it was a stupid question.

  • Question about liquid nitrogen.?

If liquid nitrogen come into contact with methanol (which is at room temperature and normal atmospheric pressure), will it cause the liquid nitrogen to expand 700 times faster than it would just being exposed to room temperature air at normal atmospheric pressure (I read that it will; I just want to be sure)?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Did Sir Isaac Newton support slavery?

I know that he was a shareholder in the South Sea Company which traded African slaves, but he was also quoted as stating, when asked about the continuance of the rising South Sea stock, "I can calculate the movement of the stars, but not the madness of men." So, did he support slavery or not, or did he not support it but not look down upon it either? Thanks in advance.

  • Did I find a fossil?

So, I was outside today "helping" my mom remove the Christmas decorations from the front lawn (I know, it's a bit late to do that) and I slowly zoned away and I went to this big rock that was in this spot for as long as I can remember and I tried to move it with my foot to see what was underneath for no particular reason and then the top half CAME OFF. Now, I don't know if it was already split in half or if my somewhat firm "kick" split it in half, but when it did split, I found this kind of discoloration inside in kind of the shape of a leaf. It kinda looks like a fossil of a leaf. What do you guys think.

    Here are the pictures.

  • How do I tell a girl she is very good looking?

So, this girl and I used to go to school together and we were good friends, but a few years ago, I left the school to be homeschooled. Since I left, we really didn't keep in contact or talk much. And so, we haven't really talked in a few years. Then today, I see that she gave me a follow on Instagram so I was glad to hear from her again. When I went on her page (initially, to see who it was), I saw that she got extremely good looking over the years. I asked her how it's going and stuff but I really want to tell her how gorgeous/beautiful/good looking I think she got. Will it sound creepy or weird? Will she take this as the compliment it is? How would you suggest I go about saying this? Thanks in advance. :)

P.S. Sorry for the novel I just wrote.

P.P.S. Yes, I'm reporting this because, for some reason, it got posted in UK and Ireland Answers. That's fine, but I want some other answers, too. :)
