My love for aviation began in 1967 when i was introduced to flying by an Air Force colonel, who’s 1945 E6b I inherited the same one he used in WWII. I have never had the desire to fly for an airline and I have racked up 4,000 hrs in anything I could get my hands on. I fly for the sheer enjoyment of it and to extend where I can go on weekends. It is my feeling that anybody who sits in the cockpit of an aircraft and is the Sole Manipulator of the controls Is and Always will be a real pilot.
Have you ever found yourself on final at an uncontrolled airport, where you have been announcing your intentions/ position on the radio. Only to Have some fool takes the active runway in a plane that is almost the same color as the pavement.13 AnswersAircraft9 years ago

With the same question and suggestions posted over and over and over, tell me just how many airliners have been brought down by bird strikes
Not How many Bird strikes, Not how many emergency landings or Airliners returned to make a safe landing due to bird strikes, Not how many lost engines due to bird strikes. But!
Crashes or a complete loss of power as in the Hudson river incident forcing the Airliner down.1 AnswerAircraft1 decade ago

What do all you pilots think about the ICAO english Proficiency Airman Certificate endorsement requirement?
The ability to read, speak, write, and understand English is already a U.S. regulatory eligibility requirement; the FAA Registry began issuing all new certificates with this endorsement on February 11, 2008. The U.S. has notified ICAO that it filed a difference that will extend the U.S. compliance date until March 5, 2009, in order to provide sufficient time for all affected U.S. airman certificate holders to comply with the ICAO Language Proficiency airman certificate endorsement requirements.7 AnswersAircraft1 decade ago
In1997 I was asked by one of the largest Insurance companies to write articles covering marine engines specifically on Pickling which is to preserve an engine that has been submerged in water. And the proper way to winterize a Marine Engine. I now find these articles all over the internet and I know they are re-writes of my original article because of the contents and most of the wording is my writing style plus all the publishing dates given, are well after the date I wrote these articles.5 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade ago
