  • Plese help me reword this sentence?

I have a really hard time writing down exactly what's going through my brain. This is the closest I could come up with. The message I am trying to get across is that researchers put in a lot of effort to avoid having problems/issues/limitations with a large research study. But despite everything they did they still had limitations. Limitations in studies are pretty much always impossible to avoid. Please help me reword this so that it sounds better. Thank you.

"Despite the researchers best efforts to maintain the accuracy of this large, long term study they still experienced some of the inevitable, limitations."

  • Any good juice recipes?

I am using my new juicer this weekend and looking for some good recipes.

I also have a few dumb questions. Do you need to peel carrots before juicing? And do you need to core apples?

    Thank you :)

  • What movie/TV show is this scene from?

I saw on TV something with this scene and it is bugging me what the title is.

The movie starts with 2 teenage twin boys who are getting a portrait taken to give to their mom as a present. They are British. Shortly into the movie 1 of the twins offers to run to the store and on the way gets beaten really badly. I don't remember much else of the program.

  • What type of wine should I use in French Onion Soup?

I have looked at several recipes, all which call for different alcohols and I am confused on which one I should use.

I am making the soup with vegetable broth. Which would taste better: white wine, red wine, port wine, or sherry?

    Thanks

  • Is eating vegan "good enough"?

Hi. I just have a question. My bf and I are attempting to go vegan for 1 week, to start because I heard of all the great health benefits. But after reading several articles I am now frustrated and confused. Is just eating vegan not good enough? I recently read some stories on how packaged veggie burgers for instance contain carcinogens and are full of GMO's and should be avoided, and that many other vegan products (I'm guessing those found in the freezer section) are also bad for you. I've read almond milk from the store is laden with sugar and calories so one should make their own at home. What is the truth to this? I realize cooking from scratch is the best, but I am student and work full time. I don't have the time and energy to make my own milk. After reading some of thse articles it is kind of scaring me away from veganism and making me consider that maybe eating meat could be the healthier choice. What is your opinion on this?

  • Please help me find this song?

I've heard this song on the radio a few times recently.. I do not think it is an old song. In the background there is a man with deep voice that says "Woahhhh" or "ohhhh". During the chorus one line is rapped followed by the "woahhh" then another line, then "ohhh" again. I've searched so many songs and cannot find it :(

  • What rap song goes woah-oh-oh in background?

Song I heard recently. It has male voice in background saying woah-oh-oh-oh. The chorus sorta sounds like there are multiple people speaking. I cannot recognize rapper's voice.

  • Can you sub whiskey for scotch in butterscotch pudding?

I am making butterscotch pudding and it calls for 2 tbsp of scotch. I do not have scotch at home but have a few different whiskeys, maple whiskey, vodka, malibu, white rum, and brandy. Is there any substitute where it would still taste good in the end? Thanks.

  • How can I fix my spicy BBQ sauce?

I am in the middle of cooking a bbq sauce. The recipe called for nothing spicy at all, it was supposed to be a sweet sauce. Well in my brilliant mind I decided to add 1 can of chipotle chile in adobo sauce to the 4 cups of sauce. Once it cooked for awhile I had a little taste and my mouth is burning. I tried adding more ketchup, more water, more sugar, and now I have a sauce that tastes sickeningly sweet but burns my throat at the same time. Anyway I can fix this without restarting? Some of the other ingredients in the sauce are honey, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, onion powder, paprika, and worcestershire sauce.

  • Help Calculating pKb?

Please, I really need help to calculate the pKb. In class we took a solution of sodium acetate and titrated it with 0.1012M HCl.
