No Merzbow please.5 AnswersRock and Pop6 years ago
I mean, Merzbow isn't really rock music.
Why do people complain about it being rock and pop and how it should rock and metal instead, when obviously noise music needs its own category first? There are far greater differences between rock and noise versus rock and metal. At least metal has its roots in rock. You could very easily argue that metal is a subgenre of rock, whereas noise has its roots in futurist modern classical.

. Blink-182 bassist and singer Mark Hoppus is a vocal fan, having proposed to his wife to The Get Up Kids song "I'll Catch You." They were also a major influence on the rest of the band, even at their peak popularity around the release of Take Off Your Pants and Jacket. The members of Fall Out Boy cite The Get Up Kids' influence, particularly their album Four Minute Mile. In a 2005 interview with Alternative Press, Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz stated that the band had a huge influence on him and the other members of Fall Out Boy. "There should be a How To Be a Pop-Punk Kid starter kit with bands like Get Up Kids, so kids would know whose shoulders bands like us are standing on. Fall Out Boy would not be a band if it were not for The Get Up Kids."
You see, blink 182 wasn't the true cause of all these crowd-following teens. It was merely just a ruse, a deception if you will, to mask the true cause of this epidemic. blink 182 are mere pawns in the insidious plans of the pop punk elite, they were the bait for the anti-pop punk crusade to take. It didn't fool me though.3 AnswersRock and Pop6 years ago

I sure do have nostalgia for that one time where I breached through the vagina with amniotic fluid seeping into every one of my orifices. That was so 90s.26 AnswersPolls & Surveys6 years ago
Seeing that Americans only hate Nickelback because they're Canadian, and no one else likes any other Canadian band or musician like Rush, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Arcade Fire, or Joni Mitchell, and since it's only Americans who dislike Nickelback, how do I join this obvious conspiracy? Where do I sign up?
I like it when bands get into spats with one another :)
Just name lots of examples, if you will
"I know that Southern Poverty Law Center labeled MRAs hate groups ... don't know that I would. I see the men's rights world as many enraged individuals, coalescing loosely in the 'manosphere' on the Web, with little or no organizational structure, coherent policy initiatives, or plans ... But that's only because my definition of 'hate groups' requires concerted action, and the viciousness of many of their cyberattacks against feminist women make me think that those women who have been targeted might have a different story to tell."
-Michael Kimmel, sociologist at Stony Brook University in New York.
I guess most hate groups, such as white supremacist organizations, would have frequent meetups and have clear organizations with common goals. They would have formal groups, each with their own name. MRAs, on the other hand, are just internet warriors who do absolutely nothing to try to enact changes in public policy. They may only hold one rally or so worldwide per year, whereas hate groups meet up all the time and it consumes their entire lives.
But they are a hateful group of individuals, and not simply a group championing rights for men, because they find reasons to blame feminism for their perceived injusticies, often times performing mental gymnastics in the process. There is pretty much a scientific consensus that you guys are full of sh*t, and there are literally thousands of male feminists for every female MRA.13 AnswersGender Studies6 years ago
Besides the fact that there are some things that may not be indie (are post-rock and post-punk bands indie?) , I think it is a fairly good list.4 AnswersRock and Pop7 years ago
