  • ships configurations,,?

I am trying to find information of how a ship would have looked in 1828, specifically a vessal named "Ferme", also seen it spelled "Firme". She was a French built ship involved in the slave trade. On Dec 1828 she is captured by the British ship Grasshopper. The Firme in record seen from the Admiralty is sometimes described as a schooner, sometimes as a Brig and other times as a Brigantine. Not knowing the difference I am tryng to find drawings or any image of what it might have looked like. It couldn't have been small since when it was confiscated it had over 480 slaves on board , a crew of 46 and 4 passengers , any ideas where to look?
