I'm A RIDER FAN

  • I have a problem with the Youtube player...?

I can play the videos, that's not the problem, but if the video is in 360p or higher then I can't go back in the video without the video reloading to that spot.

It's really messed up. For example say I'm 30 seconds into a video and want to go back to 15 second point, it won't just automatically go back like usual but it will reload the video from that point.

    It's really frustrating.

Do you guys know what's going on or what I can do to fix this?

  • What verse of "O Canada" stirs up the most emotions in you? (Canadians only)?

To celebrate Canada Day, we will probably be hearing the song alot today

When you sing/hear the song sung, what verse gives you the most butterflies in your stomach?

For me, the part that always gets me (when I hear it sung by a crowd) is when it says "God keep our land, GLORIOUS AND FREE"...and the crowd really gets up to sing that part.

Sorry for the overt nationalism, but it's Canada Day goddamit

  • Why are Canadians the only ones who celebrate Victoria Day?

Victoria Day is a federal Canadian statutory holiday celebrated on the last Monday on or before May 24, in honour of both Queen Victoria's birthday and the current reigning Canadian sovereign's official birthday. It is sometimes informally considered as marking the beginning of the summer season in Canada.

So my question is, why don't other Commonwealth countries celebrate this day?

  • Is the Canadian Liberal Party dying out? Is the Bloc Quebecois dying out?

Seems the NDP has taken them over in the polls and the Libs will only win about 40 seats whereas NDP will win 100

Before the election Liberals were official opposition

The NDP has surged in Quebec and are at 40% there opposed to 20% for the Bloc, Bloc support has been cut in half since two weeks ago

  • How would the USA and other countries react to Canada electing an NPD government?

The traditional two parties Conservative and Liberal have always been in power but the NDP is gaining momentum now and is at over 31% in the polls behind the Conservatives at 35%

The NDP evolved from a merger of the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) and the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (CCF). The CCF grew from populist, agrarian and democratic socialist roots into a modern social-democratic party. Although the CCF was part of the Christian left and the Social Gospel movement, the NDP is secular and pluralistic. It has broadened to include concerns of the New Left, and advocates issues such as gay rights, international peace, and environmental stewardship.

New Democrats today advocate, among other things:

Gender equality and equal rights for LGBT residents

Improving environmental protection through government regulations

    National water safety standards

    Increasing corporate taxes

    Reducing poverty in Canada

    Aggressive human rights protection

    Expanding funding for public transportation

Expanding public health care, including dental and prescription drug coverage

Social assistance policies that reflects citizens' needs and assist their re-entry to the work force

Abolishing the unelected Senate of Canada and ensuring more proportional representation

Workers' rights including raising the minimum wage to pace the cost of living

Aboriginal peoples' treaty, land, and constitutional rights

A foreign policy that emphasizes diplomacy, peacekeeping, and humanitarian aid instead of offensive military action

Renegotiating the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)

One wing is focused on ending the Canadian War on Drugs and legalizing recreational drugs

  • What do people outside Canada think of what is going on in our election?

Here in Canada we are in an election campaign and our polls are indicating the traditional 4th place party the NDP whom are socialists are now 2nd place in the polls with over 30% support and they are neck and neck with the Conservatives

The Liberals have collapsed and now are now at 20% support they were neck and neck with the Tories as recent as 3 weeks ago

In Quebec the separatist Bloc Quebecois have collapsed as well and are down to 20% in that province and the NDP surge has taken over in that province

After this election there will be a huge shift in Canadian parliament, what are your thoughts on this?
