I was bitten by my neighbor's dog four weeks ago. All precautions were taken...cleansing, wrapped in clean towel, ER, stitches (but not fully closed), antibiotics... Now, four weeks later, my wound is closed and almost healed. I have very dry scabs on the larger parts of the bite. There is no infection, and I continue to keep it clean with antiseptic wash, but it itches terribly! Is there any type of cream or lotion I can safely put on to help? I was told by the ER doctor not to put on Neosporin, but that was only when the wounds were open as it could have damaged the stitches and harbor infection. I suppose I could use it now, but other recommendations are welcome :) Thank you!2 AnswersFirst Aid9 years ago
I've been trying to think of some names and put it to a family vote soon. Any ideas?
So far I have...
She's small and light tan-colored. I'm open to cute girly names or even off-the-wall names like Bear since she's so small and that name would normally be for a larger dog. Thanks! :)12 AnswersDogs1 decade ago
She is three years old and we have a two-month-old at home also, as well as a seven-year-old. I find it challenging to handle the baby and tackle potty training at the same time. However, I'm off for the summer and would like to get her using the potty before returning back to work in August. Any ideas?4 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade ago
I just learned yesterday that I will have a C-section rather than be induced tomorrow. I'm not scared or nervous, but I do have questions...
How long will it take to recover from the drugs? When will I be able to hold my baby after the surgery? How long is a typical hospital stay after a C-section?
Sorry. I've been lucky enough to have two natural childbirths, and I knew what to expect with being induced, but now the game plan has changed!4 AnswersPregnancy1 decade ago
I already sell Avon, and I feel I am ready to start another small business. I know someone who has just started, but I want to hear from others too.3 AnswersSmall Business1 decade ago
I'm just wondering. I'm in my third pregnancy right now, and I'm about eight weeks along. I know I'm not "showing" just yet, but I do feel pretty bloated already and my clothes are just not fitting as well. The same happened when I was pregnant with my daughter (she was my second pregnancy). The doctor told me it's time for a run to the store for new clothes! lol7 AnswersPregnancy1 decade ago
I'm working on a children's book. It's moving along quite nicely, and I've gotten good reviews to those I've shared it with. It's set up in scrapbook format with pictures and entries, written in a dog's point of view. So far there are entries about her new home, Halloween, meeting other dogs, going to the groomer,... It has a bit of humor in it.
I'm a teacher and I have shared it with my students. They love it.
The plan is to (hopefully) get it published, and once I do, I would like to set up a website with lessons and activities to go along with each book (yes, I'm hoping for a series). I would also like to have an author's MySpace aside from my personal MySpace and possibly have the dog's MySpace linked to mine.
I know it's a stretch, but I'm really excited about it, and the response so far has been enthusiastic and encouraging. What do you think?5 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade ago
Hi there. I'm working on a few stories. I won't get into the details, but I will tell you that I want to start a series of books, and I want to write books out of that series. I've been researching a little on-line, and I have found free publishers for beginning authors. Unfortunately, I DON'T have the start-up money for publishing.
I am a first grade teacher, and any stories I have written and shared with my students (in first, second, and fifth grades) have entertained and engaged them.
This is a life-dream of mine. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. Please be nice. Thank you so much!5 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade ago
Okay. Here are the details, followed by my question. :)
My last period started on Nov. 12th. My hubby and I did the baby dance a few times last week. Now, I'm a little crampy with some spotting. My period isn't due for a little under a week and the spotting started Thursday night (a day and a half ago). Now, I'll have you know that my cycle is not regular, but I NEVER start this early. I've been reading about implantation bleeding and I'm wondering if this could be it.
I just really HATE the waiting game and I know that waiting is the only SURE way to determine whether I'm pregnant. Just wanted to get opinions as I'm a bit hopeful.
What do you think? Could I be pregnant???4 AnswersPregnancy1 decade ago
