  • Tax refund question, FTHB credit.?

I did our taxes with the Turbotax free edition and filed by mail. We should have been eligible for the homebuyers credit. I checked the WMR site and it kept telling me they had no information about our filing status. Last night my checking account had the refund deposited by the US Treasury but the refund DID NOT include the $8000 for the FTHB credit. What does this mean? I sent in the documentation to prove we bought our home. Are we denied the credit? What is going on? We really need and were counting on that money. HELP!! Any ideas?

  • Dish night at the movies in the 1930's - Appraisal?

I have a set of dishes that I believe might be worth a lot of money. My grandmother died and left to me a set of china. I later learned that these dishes she got from "dish night at the movies" during the depression. (They actually used to give out dishes at the movies to increase movie sales) Anyway, I have a full set of these and they are really pretty. I'd like to know what they would appraise at or how I'd even go about finding out. Any ideas?

  • Please share experiences or offer insight (epilepsy).?

Today my son was diagnosed with epilepsy. He is two years old and had his second seizure today. He had the first one back in Feb. of this year (4 months ago). He will be put on meds starting tomorrow. Can any body offer any advice, insight, inspiration? I am an emotional roller coaster. I don't know how I should feel about this. On one hand I am glad that this diagnosis isn't something much worse (brain tumor or something). On the other hand, I don't know how something could be wrong with my perfect little boy. Where do I go from here, and what do I do?

  • Why does Mexican food make me vomit? (read)?

Okay this is wierd but I like Mexican food, but if I eat "authentic" Mex. it makes me vomit. I have tried ordering different dishes; like taco salad, fajitas, even simple stuff like chicken quesadillas, but no matter what I eat at a Mexican restaurant it makes me vomit. I can eat tacos and stuff like that from Taco Bell or made at home, but not from an authentic Mex. restaurant. Any ideas on why? Could I have an allergy to one of the spices they cook with?

  • Is this normal for a baby to teethe and then stop?

My son is 16 months (almost 17 months) old and he only has his top four front teeth and two front teeth on the bottom. He seemed to get all those teeth quickly but has had them for 3 or 4 months and has not gotten any more. Not even signs of getting more. Does anybody know why this would happen? Is it normal?

I mean I've heard of kids getting teeth later in their development, but 6 and then none? Explain if you can.

  • If taking alli, do snacks like fresh fruit count against your daily totals?

I have bought and started the alli plan, and I'm doing pretty well. You have to watch your fat and calorie intake, and I do, but I wondered if fresh fruit or veggies count against calories and fat. I read online that fresh fruit and veggies use up more calories to digest than they put in your body. Any ideas?

  • Is this true about Labradors?

I was at a party and the subject of dog breeds came up. My friend has a chocolate lab female who has come into season and wants to breed her with another guy's black lab. She said she could breed these two dogs and it would be possible to get yellow labs, or chocolates or black labs. She said you can breed ANY two types of labs as long as they're purebred and they can still be registered adn full blood and that the colors dont' mix. (In other words you can breed two different color labs and you'll still get all of one type or another). Is this true?? I just dont' see how you can breed two yellow labs and get a black lab or a choc. lab. Please advise. If there's a vet out there ore a breeder you get best answer for being thorough.

  • Wondering what y ' all think.?

What significance do you believe dreams have? Do you think a dream that seems to have a real meaning for a situation relevant to one's life can give the dreamer answers to problems? Not that this is a religious belief of any sorts, more like a habit I have. When I have a really pressing or stressful situation or problem in my life, before going to bed I will pray for Him to send me an answer in the form of a dream. It almost always ends up with a significant dream. And when I've had the dreams and then done what they told me to do, or went with the advice in the dream, things always turn out for the best. Do any of you think this is possible? Have any of you done the same?

  • Hey atheists: If all you atheists are so firm in you disbelief why do you ask these questions?

If you don't believe in God or in anything I say you are entitled to that. So why then, if you are so sure there is no God and you are so confident in your beliefs or disbelief why do you contantly go on yahoo answers and ask questions like the ones you ask? Why not ask something else? Why not skip the topic all together?
