  • Does anybody know of any texting apps that let you know if the recipient has read your message?

Not if it was sent, but if they opened it. I know Google Messages has this feature, but it isn'supported by my OnePlus 3 on AT&T.

  • What are some good banks to set up a checking account with?

I'm looking for a new bank and would like to get some opinions on which banks are good. I currently have an account with Whitney Bank and while I haven't had any problems with them, I can't use my phone to deposit checks (they have a mobile app that is supposed to allow this, but it doesn't work). So because of this, I'm looking for a bank that allows mobile check deposits and has a good mobile app. Also, I don't have a job, so I would like to go with a bank with either a low minimum daily balance (somewhere around $100-$200) or no minimum daily balance. I live in Louisiana. This would be a checking account and nothing else.

  • Is a vote for Jill Stein a vote for Trump?

I know that Donald Trump isn't the GOP front runner yet, but if he does become the front runner and I vote for Jill Stein (Green Party), will I essentially be taking votes away from Hillary (assuming she's gonna be the Democratic front runner) and giving my vote to Trump?

P.S. I'm asking because I don't want my vote to help Donald Trump win.

  • I have a question about two suras in the Quran (I hope I got that right. If not, please forgive me).?

First though, let me just say that I'm not an Islamaphobe in any way, shape, or form and I know that a lot of Muslims condemn terrorism and such, and I ask this not to be rude or put down on the religion, but rather to try to understand it better. Second, in Sura 5:32-33 it says, "Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land - it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one - it is as if he had saved mankind entirely. And our messengers had certainly come to them with clear proofs. Then indeed many of them, [even] after that, throughout the land, were transgressors. Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land. That is for them a disgrace in this world; and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment." My question is this, what do these two Suras mean exactly? Does Islam really advocate killing or maiming people who spread corruption? Again, I ask this not to be rude or put down on the religion, but to try to understand it better. Please only answer if you're a Muslim or have studied Islam at the university-level for quite some time and are not anti-Muslim. Thanks!

  • Can I just vote on the issues?

In the 2014 elections, do I have to vote for a candidate, or can I just vote on the issues? I'm asking because I don't like any of my state's candidates that are running for their respective offices, but I would still like to vote.

  • Is experience required to be a high school drama teacher?

I am working to get my secondary teaching degree and am thinking about teaching high school drama and some other subject while pursuing an acting career on the side (and yes, this can be done), but I am not a professional actor yet, so I'm concerned about being able to teach drama effectively, but I'm also not sure if high school drama teachers have to be professional actors. Could I still teach high school drama even though I will be an newbie actor or would it be better to find another subject to teach?

  • What's to prevent these things if marriage was privatized?

First, answer ONLY if you support marriage privatization or are at least not opposed to the idea. Now here's my question: I like the idea of getting the government out of the marriage business, but if marriage is privatized then how would forced marriages and child brides be prevented? Also, what would prevent people from marrying animals or their relatives? After all, if marriage was privatized wouldn't that mean there would technically be no law against these things?

  • Do models have time to themselves?

I'm considering auditioning for a job as a department store model, but I have heard that models don't have time to themselves. Is this true, partially true, or downright false? Please only answer if you are/were in the business or personally know someone who is/was.

  • Can anyone tell me what song this is?

This is probably futile, but I figured I would try anyway. So, there's this song I heard a while back, but I don't remember the name of it or who sings it. I don't even remember all the lyrics. The only part I remember is, "and now he's fcking dead". I also remember that it's a song about this guy trying to steal a girl from her husband/boyfriend or something like that and the singer talks about putting the boyfriend/husband in the ground. I know it's a long shot, but if anyone knows what song I'm talking about please tell me the name.

  • Anything better than Pocket for Firefox?

I asked this question before, but for some reason it got deleted. Whatever, though. Anyway, is there anything better organized than Pocket (formerly Read it Later) for Firefox? I save a lot of webpages to Pocket and so webpages get "lost" in the clutter, and anytime I want to go to a website I have have to click through tons of pages to find the site I'm looking for. It's annoying. Is there anything that organizes saved webpages better? I like the idea of folders. Is there anything that utilizes folders?

P.S. This question doesn't violate Yahoo Answers Community Guidelines. With that said, if this question is deleted again, I will just keep asking it again.

  • What are the scents and smells that attract women?

In my biological psychology class we are learning about the psychology of attraction and our professor asked us to write a 6-10 page research paper on how and why different scents and smells attract men and women (psychologically-speaking), and what those scents and smells are.

  • Should I live in California or New York?

I currently live in Louisiana, but would like to move to either California or New York (particularly Los Angeles County, Orange County, and NYC and it bouroughs). The problem is I don't know which one to live in. I will be going into the entertainment industry (namely, film and/or television production and direction. I will go into acting later on.). I know there are plenty opportunties in both states, but in terms of taxes, cost of living, economy, & job earnings, which one is better or at least not as bad? Also, I will most definitely have a second job (maybe a waiter or something like that) when I first move there and I will be renting an apartment. Another thing, I am single for now.

  • Does anyone know what this rash could be?

I have a rash on the right side of my neck. It is red, slightly raised (I can feel little bumps when I rub my fingers against my neck), and slightly itchy. It also comes and goes and is irritated by rubbing alcohol, products with alcohol in them, and sometimes even hot (not warm) water. I don't think it is hives since I do not have any of the other symptoms associated with hives and I do not believe it to be eczema, dermatitis, or psoriasis since creams for those rashes do not help it at all. The rash can red, pink or very light red, or dark red (almost a brownish red color) at different times. Sometimes it is a combination of two of the three (ex. red near the front and dark red near the back). The rash doesn't crust or bleed, and is not puss filled. From what I can tell it is not scaly or silver-like, either. I have had this rash for about 4-5 years and nothing I have tried works to make it better or get rid of it. I have noticed that is sort of a small round shape in some places and has what looks to me like a brown freckle in the middle or in some places a medium-sized red slanted band in the middle. It appears to be blotchy and could be lattice-shaped, but it is hard to tell since the rash is clustered together. Any ideas on what this rash could be would be greatly appreciated.

  • Can one play a cop, attorney, and judge in a homemade movie or do you need permission'?

I'm looking to make a homemade movie about a killer who this cop hunts down and then goes to court, but I need to know if it is against Louisiana law to play a (pretend) cop, attorney, & judge in a homemade movie. Do you need to get permission from the police department and/or state? Note: This by no means means that I will make this movie. If I do have to get permission or it is against Louisiana law, then I will come up with something else.

  • What face shape am I?

Here are the measurements. Forehead: 4 1/2 inches across, Cheekbones:somewhere around 4 1/2 and 4 3/8 , Jaw line: 4 1/2 , Length: 7 inches. Also, despite the length being 7 inches, I do not have a high forehead and pointy chin like you would see on someone with an oblong face. I'm thinking its oval since the jaw line and forehead are both 4 1/2 inches, but long hairstyles look horrible on me and I was told that ovals can wear any hair length, so I'm not sure. Anyway, here are a few picks to help: & Here is a pic of me with long hair for y'all to see that I don't look good with long hair: I'm trying to figure out my face shape so I can pick the hairstyles that will suit/complement me best.

  • Help with yahoo account?

I have a yahoo account in my name from August 15 2010 that I have no idea how I got, yet for some reason while I was logging into what I thought was my current yahoo account I got logged into what seems to be my account. I didn't notice at first, but I asked a question on Yahoo Answers and after I submitted the question I noticed. So, I logged out and logged into my known account, then logged out and tried to log into my unknown account, but yahoo said that the account did not exist, yet I can go to Yahoo Answers and find the question that I asked on August 15, 2010 under that account And no, I did not accidentally create a new account then just forgot everything. Yes, I have tried the help section. No, it is of no help.
