I m in a distressing position as a home school student. I recently got my GED and I was supposed to graduate in June 2019. But now that I have my GED diploma and transcripts, I ve started my college search just as others seniors my age. However, I have not yet taken the SAT nor the ACT. And because my parents don t support me, they won t allow me to take them.
I need advice in how I can apply to college. I m afraid my only possibility is submit my GED info, essays and recommendation letters from acquaintances. If my last resort is attending a community college I will, but I wish to avoid that as much as possible.4 AnswersHigher Education (University +)2 years ago
I know that diploma and transcript are two words with different meanings. I know that. But I m trying to send the diploma/transcript to a college and I m tripping over my own feet by overthinking.
Thank you!3 AnswersOther - Education2 years ago
I just got my GED. But due to family and personal reasons I still don't have neither my SAT nor ACT. I'm 17 and this school year I was starting my home school senior year. But since I got my GED diploma, I'm technically a graduate.
School year already started, and so did most colleges. I know I have to take my SAT/ACT regardless, but what I want to know is if I should/can go back to high school just for senior year and take classes, and graduate normally. Or if I should move on, take the SAT/ACT on my first chance and enroll in college Spring 201910 AnswersHigher Education (University +)2 years ago
I wanted to take online courses from San Antonio College. But they required me to apply, as to be student.
I am a home school senior student who wants to take college courses online. I recently obtained the GED, but I do not have nor the SAT/ACT.
PS: I don't mind paying for the courses, I don't expect them to be free.6 AnswersHigher Education (University +)2 years ago
I am a home-schooled student and am interested in knowing if I can take the GED after taking the SAT and vice-versa. And because of the structure of the GED, you can take its subjects in separate. Is it possible to take both tests at the same time? This means that if I, for example, decide to take GED math, next week I have the SAT and later I have the rest of the subjects, is this possible?4 AnswersStandards & Testing2 years ago
