My name is Robert Molendyk, I am 6 foot 4, and 16. I'm Caucasian and of German and Dutch descent. My hair is blond, my eyes are blue. I love reading, animals, and natural science. I live in Las Vegas, Nevada and currently go to West Career and Technical Academy (WCTA). I am an only child, and proud to say that I've never been a bully (I never liked being the victim, so why would others).

  • Does my condition ban me from donating sperm?

First off, my family tree is practically spotless of genetic problems, and many lived to their late 90s and some over 100.

When I was two I was perfectly healthy, and developed very fast, but then I got a botched MMR(mumps, measles and Rubella) shot, which has been linked to autism. My body reacted badly, my injection area turned purple on my thigh, and my veins were puffed up. My breathing stopped, but the paramedics got me to the hospital in time. 2 weeks after the shot I developed 'textbook case' symptoms of autism, and none of my family has autism, alive or dead, and the doctor said it was the vaccine for certain based on the evidence. We were also told it wont pass to my kids because my wasn't genetic but environmentally caused. Since autism was only listed in the 'genetic history' bracket of the paperwork I got, do I mark down that I have it even though mine isn't genetically based? If I can't pass it on I see no trouble on lying on that part, but will they know? If mine were genetic I would NEVER lie about it, but this isn't the case. I want to know that I could help people make a family. But will the clinic allow me?

  • Why didn't Marie Thérèse of France have children?

Maria Therese was the daughter of Marie Antoinette, and was also her only child that lived past the revolution. She married at 21 to Louis Antoine in 1799. He died(before her) in 1844. Because she was definitely young enough to get pregnant, and was certainly married long enough, so why were no children born? I know of only one pregnancy she had which miscarried and then no others.

I know the monarchy was abolished after her mother was beheaded, so she didn't need an heir like a queen/king would but people were sort of expected to have children weren't they?

P.S. I read somewhere that there was a rumor that she'd been given something to make her infertile, could this be why?

  • young tortoise swallowed big rock please help?

My mom didn't pick up tortoise food for my 3 year old Sulcata(I don't have a car, I just became old enough). I took 'Sally' my tortoise outside to eat some of our grass outside(no pesticides, and we live in Nevada), I swear I was no more than 2 feet from here when she stopped eating grass, looked at a rock, and bit it. I quickly grabbed her up because I was going to carefully pull it from her mouth, but she began swallowing before I could. I panicked, afraid to try working it up from halfway down her throat, the rock was so big she had her mouth open all the way just to fit it! She's so darn quick that I try not letting her out at times, but I felt bat at the thought of her going hungry for 2 days, and I know real sunlight and a chance to stretch her legs is better than a terrarium with a UV bulb. Sally has tried eating anything from sand and wood chips in the soil, to the portch carpet, and even a little dried poop from our dog(I don't let her near it after the first incident). I know she's an animal and doesn't know better.

My biggest fear is it will get stuck in her intestines or anus, and prevent her from pooping(and getting septic poisoning). What should I do? I love her dearly, but I cant even think of how to fix it. Can a vet remove it? Will it slowly digest? please help, thanks.

  • Kitten found with swollen eye?

4 kittens were born across the street and I saved them, one had his left eye glued shut by a greenish booger-like covering. The other eye(as well as the other kittens eyes) was open, so they aren't newborns, but still pretty tiny and frail. I gently used a warm moist washcloth and got that green stuff off. It was like a dry booger and part of It I peeled off when it became loose. Its eye looked sunken and the muscled of its eyes were swollen around it, but part of his iris, and cornea was visible so they aren't completely swollen-over. The white part is pinkish-red. What can I do? I'm 17 without a car, and I wondered what home treatment I can give, is there 'people' medicine like neosporin, or a cream I can use on a kitten safely? How about eye drop saline for contacts? please don't guess, I'm afraid to make matters worse. Thanks a ton

  • How to legally save kitten from neighbors?

A kitten was born in a person's backyard, it's crying and the mom was caught by an organization to be fixed so she wouldn't have more. They(the organization) didn't know it apparently had babies already and so I tried calling the house owners on the phone, their walkway has a locked gate so I can't knock on the door. It's killing me because they're in there with the poor baby crying outside. They have to here it and are just letting it cry! I'm afraid it'll die before the mom is released back(the organization is trying to fix her as fast as possible, but won't be back till Monday), what do I do??? I feel horrible, its cries are weak with hunger. What can I do without getting in legal trouble, and without animal control coming(because they'll put it down)? Please PLEASE help, thanks

  • sulcata without uvb!?

Hello, my sulcata named "sally" has gone without uvb nearly all her life, till I got her. I was under the impression that the reptile bulbs I got her HAD uvb, but upon further inspection out of boredom I read it had no uvb. I don't know if it's necessary or not, but I feel awful. I read they need it for most metabolic functions pertaining to growth, and she's about 3.5-4 years old and only about 5 inches. I never worried because owners told me some are slower than others 'just like people.' But she had no other symptoms of uvb deprivation, she ate, drank, exercised, and was never sick, in fact she seemed to have a high metabolism. I used to have another that died of kidney failure because NOBODY told me about calcium needs until she was too far gone, and I fear losing another beloved tortoise. Please know that we have a financial rough patch right now because my step-brother moved in, so expensive $100+ bulbs can't be afforded, but $50-60 can be (I'm only 16). I love sally with all my heart and only want her to be healthy. I don't plan on breeding her, but I still love her and want her to be regular size.

P.S: She is a rescue, the last owner was a boy who fed her ONLY tomatoes, and I nursed her back to health. I need to know if uvb, and/or uvb is needed, and also if she is permanently stunted, and if her health from this possible stunting will be affected in the long run. Thank you
