Practiced Jeet Kune Do & Jun Fan Gung Fu since 2000 - current Wrestled freestyle & scholastic from 1997 - 2007 2nd kyu jr blue belt in Judo dabbled in various arts including Wing Chun, Karate, Jujutsu, krav Maga, Muay Thai & Eskrima.
My practice has been much more internal the past year after an injury and I realized the importance of intent but I'm having trouble turning it off in sparring and people are getting mad at me for it.
Is it possible I'm succumbing to my fears and anger which makes my intent to cause harm greater and that's manifested in my attacks now?7 AnswersMartial Arts7 years ago
Do any styles of Tujutsu or Taijutsu come from the Yamabushi or Sohei? or are they all from the Samurai?
I know many martial arts of the Samurai survive today but what about the other warriors of Japan?1 AnswerOther - Cultures & Groups7 years ago

I noticed not enough people train outside their school and I also noticed many say they can't find good people from their style outside of the school so would it be wrong for them to train with people from other styles as long as the other person is good?
I mean a good martial artist is a good martial artist am I wrong?
What would you suggest for people to do to train when they aren't in class and they still want to practice?
Personally I've always just trained with good people from any random style as long as they are good enough to actually train with and I'm not teaching them everything as we go along.10 AnswersMartial Arts8 years ago
I thought goldberg, mongo mcmicheals or rhino invented it but here's a video of pillman hitting luger with a spear way before they even started wrestling.
funny thing too pillman, goldberg & rhino all played football which make's sense why it looks like a football tackle, because it basically is lol2 AnswersWrestling8 years ago

Karate, Taekwondo & Judo have sports just like Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
But Brazilian Jiu Jitsu also teaches strikes and weapons defence to be used in self-defence so is it just a sport still?
Because if it is then Karate, Taekwondo & Judo are noting but sports either and all the people who say bjj is just a sport are hypocrites who must do nothing but a punching & kicking sport themselves.13 AnswersMartial Arts8 years ago
I'm interested in organizing a tournament in my city in the near future & I was wondering what goes into it from people who have done it before.
I've never done this before but it has been a major interest of mine as of late so thanks in advance for any help.8 AnswersMartial Arts8 years ago
