  • Can the low pressure valve be "sucked" into an open position while vacuuming vehicle AC system?

When I remove the manifold quick disconnect, i hear air hissing back into the system, as if the schrader valve did not close properly Is it possible for the vacuum in the lines to want to pull the schrader open and keep it open if the valve spring isn't strong enough? What could be causing this issue? I tried a replacement valve and the same thing happened.

  • Illness Symptoms?

I am curious about a sudden onset of symptoms that disappeared after about 6-7 hours. I had eaten some food the night before (traveling in third world country). The next day I had vomiting, but not regular vomit, it was dark like dried blood and grainy/chunky. After throwing up about three times over the course of about 2 hours I started getting a small tingling sensation in my chest. After about an hour the tingling had spread to every part of my body and my pulse had become extremely weak abd breathing very shallow. My pulse was hardly noticeable. All of a sudden my muscles started cramping. If you can imagine those night cramps in your calf muscles, it was the same pain but in every single muscle in my body, the pain was intense and my body was frozen in a permanently rigid position, I couldn t move. I couldn t control my body. This lasted about 4 hours until suddenly the cramping stopped like a switch had been thrown. The tingling had stopped when the cramping started. There were 3 people with me who were rubbing my and and legs to help circulate the blood. They said my tongue was purple and when I tried to talk it was incomprehensible. When the cramping stopped I was limp as a fish. I was finally taken to a hospital where they just stuck an iv in my arm and released me the next day. This happened in 2001 and I ve always wondered what it was. Someone suggested botulism poisoning, but I m not sure about that. Would love some good feedback.

  • How do you measure supersonic airflow?

I am working on a project at university and we need to measure airflow between Mach 2.5 and Mach 3. What is the best and most economical way to do this? There is a pressure difference --> 500 psi to below 15 psi as it passes through the converging-diverging nozzle.

    Thanks for any suggestions!

  • what is the name of this movie?

I can only ready remember one particularity about the movie. I think the main character was a bad guy escaping thru the desert but I'm not sure. He stumbles into a military type facility that has a force field around it or large amounts of electricity involved. The force field makes him relive the day like 2-3 times. I think there is a car chase on the desert highway. That's all I remember, mid 90's era roughly.

  • can I plug a case fan into the power fan port?

This is on a gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 motherboard. I don't have a power fan since its built intro the psu, so I wanted to plug all 3 case fans into the available sys fan 1 and 2 ports and the third into the pwr fan port. I'm not worried about fan speed control

  • for motorcycles which service manual do you prefer?

Haynes or Clymer? Or is there another one that you prefer.

I have a 1986 Honda XR 600 (rolling chassis + parts) and need something that will guide me through the repair and reassembly process step by step.

  • What is the on/off switch in the 2006 ford sport trac?

The switch is located just to the left of the radio. It is also located near what looks like another 12V outlet. I'm not sure if the two are related because the outlet doesnt seem to work regardless if the switch is off or on. The owners manual makes no mention of either the switch or the 2nd 12V outlet so I'm puzzled why the two are there. The regular/standard 12V outlet is located lower down on the center console and works fine.

By the way, this vehicle was on a military base for several years before being sold as a used vehicle. Would they have added anything that would have needed such a switch?

Finally, how can get the outlet to work, what would I need to do (connecting wires etc.). It would be handy to have a 2nd working 12V outlet.

  • Do employee referal programs really work?

When a company allows their employees to refer customers (and receive a referal bonus) does that strategy actually help increase sales? I'm not talking about someone at Walmart or Petco etc, but more about an employee who works at a business that sells large ticket items eg. boats, custom homes, aircraft etc. I'm trying to research the effectiveness of having such a program at a business of between 200 and 500 employess. Any iformation would be really helpful, especially links to sites that may already have this information available.

    Thanks in advance

  • what is the name of this movie?

I can only vaguely remember the details of this movie. The main character was some sort of detective, i think a private detective. The other main character was a woman whose husband was a magician and he had disappeared. The detective was looking for the husband, but as he continues his investigation he stumbles across voodoo and black magic stuff. He figures there's something strange going on and at the end of the movie chases the bad guy (maybe it was the husband) to dilapidated house in the desert where the husband/devil is thrown down an infinitely deep hole back to hell.

That's all i can remember, i think it was made in the early-mid 90's.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Which running back to start this week?

I need to decide between Willis McGahee or Green-Ellis. I'm leaning slightly in favor of Green-Ellis since he's for sure the starting back and his backup is out. Any suggestions or advice would be great, some reasons for your pick would be good too so I can also consider that advice for later in the season.

Ben Tate and LeGarrette Blount are on my bench, already played Bradshaw.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Problem with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4670?

Hi, I have a Dell Studio XPS 1645 laptop. I'm not very tech savvy so I'm here to try and solve my supposed graphics card problem. I use my computer for a variety or purposes but i have noticed that since i bought the computer, back in 2009, that it has run hot. I never paid any attention to that really but now my graphics card seems to be malfunctioning. My computer got a blue screen with some message about doing a dump but i could hardly read because it happened so fast and the computer screen started making a bunch of different colors and lines. There was block pattern of red blue and green (i think ) on a black background. The computer then restarted and defaulted to the system shutdown/restart diagnostic tool. It did the scan and restarted windows, by now the screen was a mess of vertical multicolored lines. I had to load windows in safe mode (with networking )because it won't start windows normally. I tried updating the driver but the Catalyst program doesnt run in safe mode, everything i've tried to do in regards to updating the driver is blocked by safe mode. Like I said, i'm not really tech savvy so this is about as far as i got. Any help would be greatly appreciated, this laptop is my life for work and school.
